About the Golf Club
Fürstlicher Golfclub Oberschwaben e.V. is located in Bad Waldsee in the Allgäu & Lake Constance region (Baden-Württemberg). The facility comprises 45 holes in parkland style.
Location and Surroundings
The facility lies in the middle of picturesque Upper Swabia (Oberschwaben) at the gateway to the Allgäu and stretches across the grounds of a former estate farm over 250 years old. Eight hectares of water and 16 hectares of meadows interrupt the closely mown grass, interspersed with colourful flowering meadows featuring more than 47 species of wild herbs that are home to rare plants and animals. Six holes of the LED night golf facility run around the small, picturesque lake of the 9-hole short course, the Fürstin Sophien See.
The Course
The course was designed by Harradine, Thomas Himmel and Carlo Knauss.
The 45-hole resort combines traditional elements with contemporary golf course architecture in the Old Course (opened in 1969, design: Harradine) and the New Course (opened in 1997, design: Thomas Himmel & Carlo Knauss), complemented by the public 9-hole short course with nine par-3 holes around a small lake. Two very different course characters provide variety with spectacular holes, while the greenkeeping team maintains course conditions known far beyond the region.
Facilities and Dining
For practice, a driving range and pro shop are available. The resort includes the upscale "Restaurant im Hofgut", the café-restaurant "Ausblick T-19" with its vinothek, and the Hopfenweiler Stüble.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is €55 on weekdays and €55 on weekends.
