About the Golf Club
Golf Club Siegen-Olpe e.V. is located in Wenden in the Ruhr Area & Westphalia region (North Rhine-Westphalia). The facility has 18 holes.
Location and Surroundings
Golf Club Siegen-Olpe lies in Wenden, in the midst of the upland landscape of the Siegerland and Sauerland in South Westphalia. The facility is part of a grown cultural landscape and a habitat for numerous animal species: more than 50 bird species live here, and with a bit of luck you can observe the red kite, the protected bird of prey that appears as the club ambassador in the club logo. Impressive views make every round a special experience, and as a gold-certified facility in the DGV programme Golf & Natur, the protection of flora and fauna is firmly anchored here.
The Course
The 18-hole course has a par of 72 and measures 5,242 to 5,937 metres.
Depending on the tee, the 18-hole course plays to a par of 71 to 75, the 9-hole course to a par of 37 to 38. Demanding holes, strategically placed challenges and a striking topography make it a sporting test, complemented by well-maintained fairways and greens that are precisely predictable thanks to an experienced greenkeeping team and robotic mowers; its origins go back to the short course designed in 1966 by Bernhard von Limburger with a par of 56.
Facilities and Dining
For practice, a driving range is available. In the clubhouse, the La Vista Ristorante Italiano run by Angelo serves Italian cuisine with views over the facility and the surrounding landscape; the clubhouse terrace invites you to linger, and it is open daily except Mondays from 12:00 to 21:00.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is 70 € on weekdays and 85 € on weekends. Guests are subject to a handicap limit of 36.
