Location and surroundings

Golf Club Wien lies in the middle of the Wiener Prater in the Freudenau, whose name goes back to the "floodplain meadow that brings joy". The holes are set into an old horse racing track with listed grandstands, and in the morning hours you can see racehorses on their training laps while deer and hares cross the fairways. The club can be reached from central Vienna in just 15 minutes.

The course

The 18-hole course measures 5,800 metres.

The facility is characterised as an "almost English links course with its own parkland elements": narrow fairways, dense rough and small greens define the traditional layout with 18 demanding holes. At 5,800 metres the course is not too long, but its typical susceptibility to wind makes it a challenge even for good golfers.

Facilities and dining

For practice there is a driving range and a putting green. After your round you can sit on the sunny terrace overlooking the first fairway and let the team of the club restaurant spoil you.

Guests and green fees

The green fee is 95 € on weekdays and 40 € at the weekend. Guests are subject to a handicap limit of 45.
