About the Golf Club
Golf & Country Club Hittnau is located in Hittnau. The facility has 18 holes. Golf has been played here since 1964.
Location and surroundings
Golf & Country Club Hittnau lies on a hilltop in the Zurich Oberland, where it was created in the mid-1960s amid the natural surroundings of the region. The undulating terrain is characterised by mature trees, water in the form of streams and lakes, and adjoining nature conservation zones and forest. On the first 9 holes, the view opens up over the expanse of the Zurich Oberland to the pre-Alps, while the second 9 holes lead right through a wooded nature reserve.
The course
The 18-hole course is rated at par 72 and measures 5,979 metres. Bernhard Limburger is responsible for the design.
The varied layout on undulating terrain is technically demanding and calls for well-placed shots, yet gives everyone a fair chance; the signature hole is the 15th, a visually impressive par 3 with a fairway in the middle of a forest clearing. The course was laid out by Bernhard Limburger, Peter Harradine contributed additions, and the redesign in 2008 and 2015/16 was the responsibility of Kurt Rossknecht.
Facilities and dining
Practice facilities include a driving range. The restaurant forms the heart of club life and, with its unique terrace, opens up views over the lakes of the Zurich Oberland to the pre-Alps.
Guests and green fees
The green fee is €160. Guests are subject to a handicap limit of 36.
