About the Golf Club
Golfclub Hamburg-Ahrensburg e.V. is located in Ahrensburg in the Hamburg & North Sea region (Schleswig-Holstein). The facility has 18 holes.
Location and surroundings
The course lies a little north of Hamburg on formerly agricultural land at the Bredenbeker Teich, just a short 25 km from the centre of the Hanseatic city and about 30 minutes from the heart of Hamburg. By car, the facility is conveniently reachable via the A1 motorway and from the town of Ahrensburg; the address is Am Haidschlag 39 – 45, 22926 Ahrensburg. The facility is characterised by a varied park landscape in the Schleswig-Holstein countryside, in which almost all trees and shrubs were planted over the decades, with idyllic ponds and the hedgerows (Knicks) typical of Schleswig-Holstein.
The course
The 18-hole course is rated at par 71.
The 18-hole course, built in 1964 by Bernhard von Limburger, was redesigned in 1978 by golf course architect and World Golf Hall of Fame member Robert Trent Jones snr. and comprehensively remodelled in 2017 by Christoph Städler. For the leisure golfer as well as the top player, the course is a difficult but always fair challenge.
Facilities and dining
For practice, a driving range, a putting green, a chipping green and an indoor simulator are available. In the restaurant "Amarone" in the clubhouse there are lovingly prepared dishes with a fantastic all-round view of the facility, and the stylish lounge and bar invite you to linger.
Guests and green fees
The green fee is €100 on weekdays and €100 on weekends.
