About the Golf Club
Golfclub Hamburg-Oberalster is located in Tangstedt in the Hamburg & North Sea region (Schleswig-Holstein). The facility has 18 holes in links style.
Location and surroundings
Golfclub Hamburg-Oberalster lies in Tangstedt-Wilstedt, just a few kilometres north of the Hamburg city limits, surrounded by the nature of Schleswig-Holstein. The 18 holes lead through moorland and an old forest and tree population. A 14,000 square metre lake fed by well water in front of the clubhouse, along with several ponds and meandering streams, shapes the water landscape of the facility.
The course
The design is by David Krause.
The 18-hole facility (par 72, 6,048 metres) was designed by the German-Canadian golf course architect David Krause and is a combination of links and parkland elements in the style of a classic links course. Spacious terrain, individually designed holes with dune and sand bunkers and summer greens that are playable all year round on sandy soil shape the course.
Facilities and dining
For practice, a driving range and an indoor simulator are available. The A & M 19th Hole restaurant caters for golfers and non-golfers alike with a bistro offering of food and drinks, and also organises private celebrations on request.
Guests and green fees
The green fee is €55 on weekdays and €70 on weekends.
