About the Golf Club
Golf-Club Lindau-Bad Schachen e.V. is located in Lindau in the Allgäu & Lake Constance (Bavaria) region. The facility has 18 holes. Golf has been played here since 1954.
Location and Surroundings
Golf-Club Lindau-Bad Schachen e.V. lies in the north of the island town of Lindau on Lake Constance, near Schloss Schönbühl, at the tri-border area of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The facility offers views of Lake Constance and the nearby Alps, with vistas reaching as far as Vorarlberg and the Swiss Alps. By car, you reach the club in 5 minutes from the Sigmarszell exit of the A96 motorway (Munich-Lindau); alternatively, the B31, Lindau exit, or the federal road B12 lead there.
The Course
The design is by Kurt Roßknecht.
The athletically demanding 18-hole golf facility (par 71) goes back to golf course architect Dr. Bernhard von Limburger, who built 9 holes; the extension to 18 holes was planned by the Lindau landscape architect Dipl.-Ing. Kurt Roßknecht. Mature trees line the fairways, and numerous water hazards shape the grounds.
Facilities and Dining
Practice facilities include a driving range and pro shop. The modern clubhouse with an expansive sunny terrace and views of Lake Constance houses a spacious restaurant with regional and international dishes; after the first nine holes, the halfway house "Fischer-Hütte" at the 10th tee invites you to refresh yourself.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is 95 € on weekdays and 105 € on weekends. Guests are subject to a handicap limit of 36.
