About the Golf Club
Golf Club Lugano is located in Magliaso. The facility has 18 holes.
Location and surroundings
The course lies in Magliaso and stretches along the Magliasina river on flat ground between birch woods, oaks, firs, ash trees, rhododendrons, oleanders and azaleas. The river crosses the course over a length of about one kilometre, and eight holes run alongside it or cross it. Between the tenth and eleventh holes, a heron often stays by the pond, and squirrels can also be found on the grounds.
The course
The 18-hole course is rated at par 70. Donald Harradine is responsible for the design.
The facility was originally laid out as a 9-hole course by the architect Percy Dell, and in 1970 Donald Harradine extended it to 18 holes; today's golf course covers only 32 hectares. The course is varied and interesting, whether for beginners or professional players.

Practice facilities include a driving range and pro shop. The restaurant at Golf Club Lugano in Magliaso serves local specialities and international dishes and has a large terrace with views over the green of the golf course.
