Location and surroundings
The golf course is located at Via Lido 81, very close to the lido of Ascona. You arrive via the Bellinzona Sud exit (exit 47) in the direction of Locarno; after the villages of Cadenazzo and Tenero, the "Golf-Lido" sign leads to the entrance on the left side of the lido. Ascona itself lies in a splendid, sunny bay and is called the pearl of Lake Maggiore.
The course
The 18-hole course is rated at 4,924 to 5,947 metres.
The original 9-hole course was designed by the English architects Colt & Alison; with the help of the architect C.K. Cotton, it was extended into an 18-hole course in 1957. The championship course, known as one of the most beautiful in Switzerland, runs flat between mature trees in a landscape of rare natural beauty and, over a total of 4924 m, shows a remarkable technical standard.
Facilities and dining
Practice facilities include a driving range and pro shop. The restaurant Bucadiciannove is located within the Golf Club Patriziale of Ascona, offers a large terrace with views of the golf course and serves Mediterranean specialities — with more than 120 seats inside and outside.
Guests and green fees
The green fee is €140 on weekdays and €160 on weekends.
