Golf & Country Club Zürich is located in Zumikon, reachable from Zurich via the Forchstrasse, with access at the village entrance of Zumikon. The 18-hole course lies in the middle of a beautiful, green landscape. The surroundings are picturesque, with views of the Alps and the Zurich countryside.
The Course
The 18-hole course has a par of 72 and measures 6,564 metres. Thomas Himmel is responsible for the design.
The par 72 course at 685 metres above sea level was designed in 1929 by Tom Williamson in the English championship style, revised in 1978/79 by Donald Harradine and completely redesigned from 2015 to 2018 by golf course architect Thomas Himmel. Elevated tees, greens well defended by bunkers and water hazards, and elevation changes characterise the technically demanding course, which rewards thoughtful, strategic play and, with seven tee positions, remains flexible in length for every class of player.
Amenities and Dining
Practice facilities include a pro shop. In the clubhouse restaurant with its market-fresh cuisine, not only members and their guests but also green fee players are welcome.
