Golfclub Augsburg is located in Bobingen in the Munich & Upper Bavaria region (Bavaria). The facility has 18 holes.
Location and Surroundings
Golfclub Augsburg is located in Burgwalden near Bobingen, on the doorstep of Augsburg, and is the only 18-hole facility in the immediate vicinity of the city. The holes are set in the Naturpark Westliche Wälder nature park and surrounded by magnificent coniferous and deciduous woodland; of the total 58 hectares, around 27 hectares make up the playing area. You arrive via the A8 Munich–Stuttgart motorway (Augsburg-West exit) and the B17 as far as the Bobingen exit.
The Course
The 18-hole course is rated par 72.
The course was designed by golf architect Dr. Bernhard von Limburger; Donald Harradine was responsible for the extension to 18 holes, before Kurt Roßknecht revised the holes, tees and greens in 1996. The variedly designed holes make for a course that is fair and sporting to play, demands clever course strategy and is characterised by the farmland that has grown over centuries.
Facilities and Dining
For practice there is a driving range, putting green and chipping green. The Ristorante Grassano welcomes guests in the clubhouse and pampers them with Italian delicacies.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is €90 on weekdays and €110 at weekends.
