Golfclub Buxtehude

Golfclub Buxtehude is located in Buxtehude in the Hamburg & North Sea region (Lower Saxony). The facility has 18 holes. Golf has been played here since 1982.

Location and Surroundings

Golf-Club Buxtehude lies south-west of Hamburg, at the gates of the Hanseatic town of Buxtehude, and is only 30 minutes from Hamburg by motorway; the approach runs via the A1 Hamburg-Bremen motorway as far as the Hollenstedt exit. The 18-hole facility (par 74) covers 72 hectares with all the typical North German landscapes. The fairways are lined with orchards and mature trees.

The Course

David Krause is responsible for the design.

After the redesign by golf course architect David Krause, the traditional course has become a modern, very well maintained facility whose holes are designed so that a bogey is quite possible while a par remains challenging. The course is sometimes flat, sometimes hilly, with fairways that originated as medieval ridge-and-furrow fields and offer interesting slopes right up to the green.

Facilities and Dining

Practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, chipping green and practice bunker. In the clubhouse with terrace, the Merano restaurant looks after the guests.

Guests and Green Fees

The green fee is 80 € on weekdays and 90 € on weekends.
