Location and surroundings

Golfclub Murtal is located at Frauenbachstraße 51 in Spielberg in Styria. The deep-green fairways are framed by the hills of the Aichfeld, and between them lie many idyllic, well-tended flower meadows and hidden streams. For years the facility has been a jewel among Styrian golf courses and promises a quiet round of golf in an idyllic setting on natural fairways.

The course

The 18-hole course has a par of 72. The design is by Jeff Howes.

The 18-hole course built in the 1990s (par 72, founded in 1995) underwent a redesign by the Irish architect Jeff Howes and offers adventure and surprises over all 18 holes, from single-figure handicappers to beginners.

Facilities and dining

For practice there is a driving range and a pro shop. The centre of the facility is the clubhouse, visible from far away, where the Esspar serves fine meals, snacks and drinks; the sunny terrace and the air-conditioned winter garden offer sweeping views of the golf facility.

Guests and green fees

The green fee is €88 on weekdays and €98 at the weekend.
