About the Golf Club
Golfclub Oberstdorf e.V. is located in Oberstdorf in the Allgäu & Lake Constance (Bavaria) region. The facility has 9 holes. Golf has been played here since 1961.
Location and Surroundings
Germany's southernmost golf club lies at 900 meters altitude in the Trettachtal in front of the panorama of the Oberstdorf mountains, not far from the realm of marmots, chamois and golden eagles. A breathtaking mountain backdrop surrounds the 9-hole facility, whose highest green sits at approx. 1000 m above sea level. The course is reached via the B19 from Kempten to Oberstdorf; at the roundabout by the construction company Geiger, the signage points towards Kleinwalsertal to the golf course.
The Course
The design is by Donald Harradine.
Laid out in 1960 on terrace-like terrain, the facility is considered quite demanding and counts among the most appealing 9-hole facilities in Bavaria. Mostly narrow fairways are framed by mountain meadows, natural streams and rivers, moors and shady woodland; sloping lies, climbs and remarkable differences in elevation provide variety.
Facilities and Dining
A driving range is available for practice. Café Gebrgoibe serves golfers as well as hikers and mountain bikers on the sunny terrace with Allgäu dishes.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is 70 € on weekdays and 70 € on weekends.
