About the Golf Club
Golfclub Plauen e.V. is located in Plauen in the Saxony & Central Germany region (Saxony). The facility has 27 holes. Golf has been played here since 1998.
Location and Surroundings
Golfclub Plauen lies in the Vogtland region in Plauen-Steinsdorf (Am Gut 1A, 08547). Coming from Plauen, you reach the facility via the B92 / B282 towards Schleiz / Greiz / A9; at the edge of Plauen, continue at the roundabout towards Greiz / Elsterberg (B92), after about 3 km towards Steinsdorf and there follow the "Golf" signposting to the junction at the edge of the village — turn left towards Cossengrün, and after 50 m the car park is on the left. The facility lies in quiet, well-tended countryside, because golfing in the Vogtland means tranquillity, nature and sporting challenge all at once.
The Course
The 27-hole course is rated at par 71.
The par 71 course is best summed up as "crisp": gently hilly terrain and the rural character shape the landscape; some fairways are not cut particularly wide, putting precise play to the test — "direction before length" is worth heeding. Alongside the 18-hole Kolkrabe course, the public 9-hole Roter Milan course is also open to beginners without any prior knowledge.
Facilities and Dining
For practice, there is a driving range, a putting green and a practice bunker. In the cosy clubhouse pavilion, a terrace invites you to watch golfers play their final holes over a beer or a cup of coffee.
Guests and Green Fees
Guests can also play here without a course certificate.
