About the Golf Club
Golfclub Sauerland Neheim-Hüsten is located in Arnsberg in the Ruhr area & Westphalia region (North Rhine-Westphalia). The facility has 18 holes in parkland style. Golf has been played here since 1958.
Location and surroundings
Surrounded by lush green hills, the club founded in 1958 lies in a parkland landscape near the hunting lodge in the Arnsberg district of Herdringen. The course land was leased in the immediate vicinity of Herdringen Castle, and the facility still lies in the middle of the extended castle park today. Gently undulating fairways, mighty oaks and picturesque ponds shape the landscape.
The course
The design is credited to Dr. Bernhard von Limburger.
Course architect Dr. Bernhard von Limburger designed the nine-hole facility that opened in 1958 and is played today as a demanding 9 + 1 golf facility with ten holes. Plenty of woodland, large solitary trees and small greens present golfers with tricky challenges, and a large and a small pond in the middle of the course make it a parkland course.
Facilities and dining
For practice, there is a driving range and practice bunker. The Rossi family runs the club restaurant “Rossi al Verde” with an Italian flair, and the large clubhouse terrace with views of the surrounding countryside invites you to linger.
Guests and green fees
The green fee is 70 € on weekdays and 70 € on weekends.
