About the Golf Club
Golfclub Schloss Elkofen e.V. is located in Grafing near Munich in the Munich & Upper Bavaria region (Bavaria). The facility has 18 holes in parkland style. Golf has been played here since 1982.
Location and surroundings
Golfclub Schloss Elkofen lies in the Alpine foothills near Grafing, on the outskirts of Munich, at Hochreiterweg 14 in 85567 Grafing-Oberelkofen. The varied facility is one of the most attractive golf facilities in Upper Bavaria, and those who play here experience panoramic views and an ambience in harmony with the environment and nature. Ecologically valuable low-nutrient meadows and insect pastures, wildflower meadows and deadwood piles shape the surroundings and provide habitat for insects, birds and small animals. In 2026, the course was awarded the “Blühender Golfplatz” plaque for the second time after 2023.
The course
The design is credited to Donald Harradine.
The 18-hole course has a driving range, short game area and putting green. The greens were renewed as part of a complete renovation, so that since 2021 play has again been possible on 18 summer greens; autonomous mowing robots are also part of course maintenance.
Facilities and dining
For practice, there is a driving range, putting green, chipping green, practice bunker and pro shop. The club restaurant Hochreiterhof, which sits high above the green and has a sun terrace, serves guests from Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00 to 22:00; Monday is closed.
