Location and Surroundings
Golfplatz Eschenried lies on Munich's north-western outskirts, where the Dachauer Moos begins, and is only about 10 minutes by car or roughly 15 km from Munich city centre. Via the A8 motorway (Munich–Stuttgart) you reach the facility at the Langwied exit; the club office of the course is at Kurfürstenweg 10. Around the turn of the century, the area was a popular subject for Munich artists, and its flair can still be felt today.
The Course
The 69-hole course is rated at par 72 and measures 6,710 metres.
The oldest course of Münchner Golf Eschenried is an 18-hole championship course (5935 metres, par 72), shaped by old trees, numerous water hazards and biotopes into a sporting challenge. The soft bog soil is gentle on the joints and makes every round a pleasure.
Facilities and Dining
For practice, there is a driving range, an indoor simulator and a pro shop. In the modern clubhouse of Eschenried, the Eschenrieder Hof by Sohyl Sedigy serves guests on a spacious sun terrace with views over the golf course.
