About the Golf Club
Golfclub Wien-Achau is located in Achau. The facility has 18 holes. Golf has been played here since 1994.
Location and Surroundings
Opened in 1994, the golf club is located in Achau in Lower Austria, on the outskirts of Vienna. From the clubhouse with its south-facing conservatory, the view falls on the tees of the driving range and the pond of the ninth hole. Looking further afield, you can spot the silhouette of the Schneeberg in the distance.
The Course
The design is by Michael Pinner.
The charming 9-hole facility with par 62 was designed by the English designer Michael Pinner, a former colleague of golf legend Jack Nicklaus. Interesting water positions and cleverly defended greens make the not-too-long course a challenge; it also includes one of the most spacious driving ranges in Austria.
Facilities and Dining
Practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, chipping green and pro shop. The Albatros golf restaurant in the clubhouse has a bar, a south-facing conservatory and a sun terrace and is open daily from 09:00 to 21:00.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is 29 € on weekdays and 29 € at the weekend.
