Location and surroundings
The golf course lies in the wet meadow landscape around the Krebsbach, between Schönenberg and Hirzel and in the local recreation area between Zurich and Zug. The facility is reached via the A3 motorway, Horgen/Hirzel exit, from where the route continues towards Hirzel/Zug on to Schönenberg. The bog and moraine area between Hirzel and Schönenberg is one of the landscapes of national importance and special beauty protected by the Federal Office for the Environment, Forests and Landscape (BUWAL).
The course
The 18-hole course is rated par 72.
The fairways stretch through the 2 km long and mostly around 300 m wide valley basin of the Krebsbach, in which a large part of the moraine landscape with ice-age hills as well as bog and nature conservation areas has been preserved. The golf course architect Donald Harradine was involved in its creation, and the American golf course architect Edmund B. Ault was also brought in; the demanding facility is a real challenge for golfers of all abilities.
Facilities and dining
A pro shop is available for practice needs. The facility's restaurant is run by restaurant manager Lars Büchler and is open seven days a week.
Guests and green fees
The green fee is €250 on weekdays and €250 on weekends. Guests are subject to a handicap limit of 30.0.
