About the Golf Club
Kurhessischer Golfclub Oberaula-Bad Hersfeld is located in Oberaula in the Rhine-Main & Hesse region (Hesse). The facility has 18 holes.
Location and surroundings
The golf course lies in Oberaula in the hills of the Knüll, a good hour's drive north of Frankfurt. The facility is easy to reach via the A4, A5 or A7; from the Kirchheimer Dreieck via the Kirchheim exit it takes around ten minutes. The 18 holes partly offer views towards the Vogelsberg, Knüll and Rhön, and from the club terrace your gaze continues into the valley of Hausen.
The course
The 18-hole course is rated at par 72.
The 18-hole course is laid out as par 72 and measures between 5.324 metres from the red tees and 6.041 metres from the yellow tees; the hilly terrain brings elevation changes of up to 30 metres per hole, which is why the course plays longer than it appears on the scorecard.
Facilities and dining
For practice there is a driving range, a putting green and an indoor simulator. The club restaurant "da Pino", run by restaurateur Giuseppe 'Pino' Maiorano, serves Italian specialities and hearty North Hessian cuisine and is furnished in the ranch style of the clubhouse complex with a bar counter, a smoking lounge and a club terrace.
Guests and green fees
The green fee is €70 on weekdays and €80 on weekends.
