Location and surroundings
The 18-hole facility of the Vestischer Golfclub lies in the middle of the Vest, at Bockholter Straße 475 in Recklinghausen. Water is part of the picture of the round: on holes 1, 2, 9 and 18, quite a few balls have met their end in the ponds, and on hole 18 a water hazard lies in front of the fairway. A quiet counterpoint is the twelfth hole – a short par 3 in the middle of the forest, its green on a clearing behind a stream.
The course
The 9-hole course is rated at par 37. The course was designed by David Krause.
The facility counts more than 40 bunkers; ponds on holes 1, 2, 9 and 18 as well as a water hazard on hole 18 put your game to the test. The twelfth hole has a special effect as a short par 3 in the middle of the forest, with the green on a clearing behind a stream.
Facilities and dining
Practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, practice bunker and pro shop. The clubhouse includes a restaurant and a clubhouse terrace where the golfing days draw to a close.
Guests and green fees
The green fee is 70 € on weekdays and 80 € on weekends.
