About the Golf Club
Allgäuer Golf- & Landclub e.V. is located in Ottobeuren in the Allgäu & Lake Constance region (Bavaria). The facility comprises 24 holes. Golf has been played here since 1984.
Location and surroundings
The golf club is located in the Boschach district of the market town of Ottobeuren in the Unterallgäu district, about 3 kilometres south of the Kneipp spa town of Ottobeuren. The town is known for the Benedictine abbey founded in 764 with its baroque basilica, which can be seen again and again in full splendour from the golf course. Ottobeuren lies at around 660 metres altitude, just under 70 kilometres southeast of Ulm, in the pre-Alpine grassland area of the southern Unterallgäu. The facility is nestled in a gently hilly landscape.
The course
The 24-hole course is rated par 72.
The 18-hole and 6-hole golf course, built in 1984, is embedded in the slightly hilly terrain with numerous water hazards and well-placed bunkers, and despite all the challenges it also gives beginners a good chance of a good score. The layout is characterised by wonderful old trees and varied golf holes with short distances from green to tee, plus excellently maintained fairways and fast greens at all times.
Facilities and dining
Training facilities include a driving range. The club has a restaurant and a terrace where meeting up spontaneously after the round is expressly part of being together — the website advertises relaxed Allgäu hospitality.
Guests and green fees
The green fee is 90 € on weekdays and 110 € at weekends. Guests can also play here without a course certificate.
