Location and surroundings
The 18-hole course lies picturesquely in the Alpine foothills, on a rise more than 500 metres above sea level with a wonderful view — in autumn you escape the fog of the lowlands here. Gmunden on Lake Traunsee and the nearest motorway junction are only around 10 minutes away by car, the A1 Vorchdorf junction about ten minutes. Thanks to the proximity of the Salzkammergut lakes — around 10 minutes to Lake Traunsee, 30-40 minutes to Lake Attersee, Lake Mondsee and Lake Wolfgangsee — a day of golf combines well with a trip into the lake landscape.
Facilities and dining
Practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, chipping green, practice bunker and pro shop. In the clubhouse, the public "Wirtshaus am Kampesberg" invites you in with hearty regional cuisine, a well-kept atmosphere, a bar and a viewing terrace with panoramic views — the sun terrace is right on the golf course, and guests who don't play golf are welcome too.
