Golf- und Landclub Bad Neuenahr lies in the Ahr valley near Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, above Lohrsdorf. The region is characterised by gentle hills, deep forests and steep vineyards; the Ahr valley lies right at the gates of the Rhine cities of Bonn and Cologne. The Ahr – once praised by the Romantics as "the wildest daughter of the Rhine" – winds its way right through Bad Neuenahr. In the north of Rhineland-Palatinate, the valley is one of Germany's most distinctive red wine growing regions.
The Course
The 18-hole course is rated at par 72.
The scenically beautiful and athletically demanding course was opened on 22 June 1982 as an 18-hole championship facility. Water hazards, green bunkers, doglegs and dense woodland shape the holes, and the terrain is steeply sloping in places.
Facilities and Dining
Practice facilities include a driving range and a pro shop. The golf club restaurant "Köhlerhof" is run by Schönherr's am Köhlerhof as the club's catering operation, and it includes a clubhouse terrace.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is €100 on weekdays and €120 on weekends.
