About the Golf Club
golfclub mönchengladbach-wanlo is located in Mönchengladbach in the Rhineland region (North Rhine-Westphalia). The facility has 18 holes. Golf has been played here since 1997.
Location and surroundings
The public 18-hole course lies on historic ground at the Wildenrath manor estate in Wanlo; the address is Kuckumer Straße 61 in 41189 Mönchengladbach. You arrive via the A61 and the MG-Wanlo exit: from MG, Krefeld and Düsseldorf via the Wanloer Kreuz junction, from Aachen, Koblenz and Cologne via the Jackerather Kreuz junction, then signposted through the town centre to the destination on Kuckumer Straße. The Niers flows along the edge of the course, and water hazards are part of the picture of the facility throughout.
The course
The 18-hole course has a par of 72.
The family-friendly 18-hole course presents itself as close to nature, demanding and idyllic, set in 800 years of history with wide fairways, mature trees, plenty of natural hazards and changing winds. A special feature: the source of the Niers springs in the water hazard between holes 12 and 17.
Facilities and dining
Practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, chipping green, practice bunkers, an indoor simulator and a pro shop. In the more than 800-year-old manor house of the Wildenrath estate, an atmospheric clubhouse with pro shop and restaurant serves as a meeting point, with a terrace overlooking the putting green for up to 100 people and the historic barn for up to 300 guests.
