Golfpark Rittergut Birkhof is located in Korschenbroich in the Rhineland region (North Rhine-Westphalia). The facility has 36 holes in links style. Golf has been played here since 1996.
Location and Surroundings
The golf park lies in Korschenbroich right on the doorstep of Düsseldorf, set in glorious nature around a park landscape more than 200 years old with a classicist manor house at its centre. A restored avenue of lime trees serves as the approach to the course and clubhouse and opens up an imposing view of the estate’s old trees with its Schinkel building. The facility is reachable via the A 57 (exit no. 19 Neuss/Büttgen) and the A 46 (exit no. 14 Grevenbroich/Kapellen). The 9-hole course Am Birkenbusch opened in 2007 on Kaarst-Büttgen land directly on the border with Korschenbroich; on the 22-hectare grounds, hills and hollows, areas of water as well as trees, meadows and lakes shape the landscape.

Kurt Rossknecht is responsible for the design.
Golf architect Kurt Rossknecht designed the 36-hole facility, whose course planning was modelled on the park landscape of the Birkhof estate, more than 200 years old; the facility was opened in September 1996 with the Nationale Offene Deutsche Golfmeisterschaft. Fairways created after extensive earth modelling, with bunkers and ponds, characterise the 18-hole championship course, on whose back nine seven holes have water hazards — including the island green at hole 14 (par 3, 119 m men, 103 m ladies).
Facilities and Dining
Practice facilities include a driving range and a pro shop. The Restaurant Im Rittergut Birkhof offers seasonal cuisine and fine wines, complemented by the Café zum Tulpenfeld, established in 1987, in the gabled storehouse with a large sun terrace on the Birkhof pond.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is 69 € on weekdays and 85 € at the weekend. Guests are subject to a handicap limit of 54.
