Golfclub Murau-Kreischberg is located in Sankt Georgen ob Murau. The facility has 18 holes. Golf has been played here since 2006.
Location and surroundings
The 18-hole facility lies between the Kreischberg ski area and the district town of Murau, in the middle of the Holzwelt Murau. The course is bordered by the wooded slopes of the Nockberge and the green Mur river. Forests, strips of trees and ponds form the backdrop of this generously designed facility.
The course
The 18-hole course is rated par 72. The design is by Diethard Fahrenleitner, Barbara Eisserer.
The par-72 facility designed by Diethard Fahrenleitner and Barbara Eisserer plays with undulating greens, water features and half and island greens, and ends at the island green of the 18th. In 2008 the course design was honoured with the "Bester Neuer Platz Österreichs" award.
Facilities and dining
Practice facilities include a pro shop. The club restaurant "Eagle – Wirtshaus am Golfplatz" lies directly on the Mur cycle path and has a spacious terrace with a wonderful view of the golf facility.
Guests and green fees
The green fee is 98 € on weekdays and 98 € on weekends.
