About the Golf Club
Golfplatz Rheintal GmbH & Co. KG is located in Oftersheim in the Stuttgart & Baden-Württemberg region (Baden-Württemberg). The facility has 18 holes.
Location and surroundings
The facility lies between Walldorf and Oftersheim on an old tank training ground, on centuries-old sand dunes, and is slightly hilly. To the south and west, dense pine forest borders the course; to the east, the view extends over fields as far as Heidelberg and the Odenwald. Thanks to the sandy soil, the course is playable all year round.
The course
The design is by Bernhard von Limburger.
The 18-hole course, completed in July 1958, was designed by Bernhard von Limburger, a German golf course architect, and is one of the oldest golf courses in Baden-Württemberg. There are no water hazards, but the demanding greens are well defended by bunkers; five par 5 and five par 3 holes are considered a special feature. During the renovation in 2020, all bunkers were renewed, while the original design was preserved.
Facilities and dining
For practice there is a driving range, a practice bunker and a pro shop. From the terrace of the restaurant "Fairway", the view extends over the 18th hole; the American-influenced cuisine (burgers, spare ribs, plus regional and seasonal dishes) and the open fireplace round off the day.
Guests and green fees
The green fee is €70 on weekdays and €90 on weekends.
