Location and surroundings

The St. Pölten-Goldegg facility is located in A-3110 Neidling; the beautifully situated park course with 18 holes and par 72 is the home course of GC St. Pölten. It offers dream views of the Alpine foothills, and some of the holes lie in the idyllic castle park. The unique atmosphere of the Dunkelsteiner Wald forest and the wonderful distant views of the nearby Alpine foothills shape the game on both the park and the castle course.

The course

The 27-hole course is rated par 72 and measures 2,335 to 5,806 metres.

Built in 1988, the course was taken over by the GC 2000 group in 2006 and transformed into a state-of-the-art 27-hole golf facility (architect Gerold Hauser, redesign Jeremy Pern 2006); it impresses with well-maintained bunkers, comprehensive fairway irrigation and well-kept greens. Hole 9 with a pond in front of the green and the par 5 on hole 18 right in the castle park, which demands a very precise drive, stick in the memory; quite playable for golf beginners too, the course particularly challenges advanced players.

Facilities and dining

Practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, chipping green, practice bunker and pro shop. In the historic castle vault you'll find the cosy "Castello" restaurant with a wonderful sun terrace.

The green fee is 85 € on weekdays and 95 € on weekends.
