About the Golf Club
Wittelsbacher Golfclub Rohrenfeld Neuburg e.V. is located in Neuburg an der Donau in the Munich & Upper Bavaria region (Bavaria). The facility has 18 holes in parkland style. Golf has been played here since 1988.
Location and Surroundings
The golf facility lies in the middle of the lush green Danube floodplains, between Neuburg and Ingolstadt near the Gut Rohrenfeld estate. Old avenues with 200-year-old oaks and lime trees, lilac hedges and a park-like landscape shape the grounds, and the access road leads through an impressive avenue. The location is close to town yet embedded in a varied natural landscape with woodland edges, ponds and flower meadows. The idyllic, quiet solitary location is conveniently connected via the A 9 motorway.
The Course
The design is by Joan Dudok van Heel.
The 18-hole course was created in 1986 by the Dutch golf course architect Joan Dudok van Heel on the gently rolling terrain around the Gut Rohrenfeld estate and covers 67 hectares. Trees over 200 years old in a beautiful parkland line the embedded fairways; the course is considered well maintained, demanding and at the same time fair to play.
Facilities and Dining
The stately clubhouse, built by Max Graf Waldburg-Wolfegg, houses a generous restaurant with up to 180 seats; from the large sun terrace you have a wonderful view of the golf course.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is 120 € on weekdays and 130 € on weekends.
