Golf Club Aaretal is located in Kiesen and can be reached from the centre of Bern in around 20 minutes by car, and in even less time coming from Thun. The Kiesen exit on the Bern-Interlaken motorway leads to the facility; by train you reach it from Kiesen station on the Bern-Thun line in around 20 minutes on foot. While playing, the view opens up towards the Emmental, and from the second tee box the panorama of the Bernese Alps reveals itself.

The course

The 9-hole course is rated par 31 and measures 2,100 metres.

The 9-hole course, 2100 metres long with par 31, was designed with great variety by the architect John Stainer Chilver from Brig. The generously designed tiered greens demand precise approach shots and good putting, while water hazards, bunkers and holes alongside horse paddocks and pastureland shape the terrain.

Facilities and dining

Practice facilities include a driving range, putting green and chipping green. The club restaurant in its idyllic setting is open Monday to Saturday from 10.00 to 22.00 and on Sundays from 10.00 to 18.00.

Guests and green fees

The green fee is €53 on weekdays and €63 on weekends.
