About the Golf Club
Golfclub Interlaken-Unterseen is located in Unterseen. The facility features 18 holes in parkland style. Golf has been played here since 1963.
Location and surroundings
The parkland championship course is located in the Jungfrau region near Interlaken, nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, with its site on the shore of Lake Thun in Unterseen. The open facility is surrounded by lakes, mountains and unspoilt nature, with repeated open views of the surrounding mountains and the Bernese Oberland. The course is flat and pleasant to walk; the waterways on the grounds were created as part of a renaturalisation extending down to Lake Thun.
The course
The 18-hole course is rated par 72. Course design is credited to Limburger and Donald Harradine.
The golf course was planned and built by the architects Bernhard von Limburger and Donald Harradine and extensively upgraded from 2003 to 2005 to plans by the Scottish golf course architect John Chilver-Stainer, creating waterways, lakes and ponds. It runs through an open, park-like setting with wide fairways and precisely defended greens — demanding to play, yet pleasant and relaxed to walk.
Facilities and dining
Practice facilities include a driving range, chipping green and pro shop. The restaurant in the new clubhouse, with an elegant dining room and a sunny terrace, combines classic dishes with a touch of Italian lightness.
Guests and green fees
The green fee is €180 on weekdays and €200 on weekends. Guests are subject to a handicap limit of 54.
