About the Golf Club
Golfclub Riederalp is located in Riederalp. The facility has 9 holes.
Location and Surroundings
The golf course lies on the sun-drenched high plateau of Riederalp in the Aletsch Arena, against the backdrop of the Valais 4000-metre peaks and the Great Aletsch Glacier – at 2000 m above sea level, it is the highest golf course in Switzerland. Arrival is exclusively by cable car from Mörel, as Riederalp is car-free; by private vehicle, you can comfortably reach Mörel at any time of year, where ample parking is available. In summer, there is the additional option of an enjoyable journey via the alpine passes Grimsel, Furka and Nufenen, which are open from early June to the end of October.
The Course
The design is by Don Harradine & John Chilver-Stainer.
The 9-hole course was laid out by the architect duo Don Harradine & John Chilver-Stainer, and the holes carry names such as Jungfrau, Dom, Matterhorn and Aletschhorn. Some holes play downhill, others slightly uphill, and bunkers, frontal water and a habitat shape the holes – the short dogleg hole 4 Blausee ends at an island green that can only be reached via a bridge.
Facilities and Dining
A driving range and putting green are available for practice. The idyllic, rustic clubhouse in Valais style sits on the golf course at tee box 1 and serves raclette and a glass of wine – golfers and non-golfers alike are warmly welcome.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is 80 € on weekdays and 80 € on weekends.
You can book tee times at Golfclub Riederalp directly online — all prices, contact details and nearby courses can be found here at a glance.
