About the Golf Club
Links Leuk Golfresort is located in Susten. The facility has 18 holes in links style. Golf has been played here since 2002.
Location and Surroundings
The facility lies in the heart of Valais, and from the course the view extends into the Rhone valley as far as the Bortelhorn. At hole 14, willow trees frame a large natural lake, with the Illhorn visible in the background. The Emsbach stream, reed beds, Suonen and the course's shallow ponds shape the terrain and provide a habitat for numerous bird species. The hotel, built directly on the golf course, opens up views across the facility to the Valais mountains.
The Course
The 18-hole course has a par of 72. The design is by John Chilver-Stainer.
Opened in 2002 under the name Golf Club Leuk, the course is Switzerland's only Scottish links-style golf course and offers an experience with a genuine "links touch", played as a par 72. Hole 9 is a tribute to the famous championship hole 9 at Muirfield, hole 12 is considered the signature hole of the links, and the greens show strong undulation in places.
Facilities and Dining
A practice bunker and pro shop are available for practice. The resort's new restaurant has a sunny panoramic terrace with views of the golf facility, 120 indoor and 120 terrace seats and a wine cellar with regional Valais wines.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is 100 € on weekdays and 100 € on weekends.
