About the Golf Club
Golf-Klub Braunschweig is located in Braunschweig in the Hamburg & North Sea region (Lower Saxony). The facility has 18 holes in parkland style. Golf has been played here since 1926.
Location and Surroundings
Golf-Klub Braunschweig is located at Schwartzkopffstraße 10 (38126 Braunschweig), in the immediate vicinity of the city centre. On the grounds, once a parade ground of the imperial troops, a green oasis of relaxation, recreation and leisure has developed. On just 36 hectares, very tall and mature trees and lush greenery give the site a park-like character in the middle of the city.
The Course
The course was designed by von Limburger.
The present 18-hole course emerged between 1946 and 1982 from the original 9-hole course, with several holes and greens based on plans by Dr. von Limburger. With a total area of only 36 hectares, it is one of the smallest 18-hole facilities in Germany; a parkland course with narrow fairways that demand a great deal of precision from the player.
Facilities and Dining
Practice facilities include a driving range, a putting green, a chipping green, a practice bunker and a pro shop. The restaurant "Rudolf" serves varied, fresh cuisine, in fine weather on the newly laid out sun terrace with a view of the flowering parkland course, and the venue offers space for around 120 guests.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is €75 on weekdays and €85 on weekends.
