Location and surroundings
Golfclub Hechingen-Hohenzollern lies at the foot of Zollernburg Castle in Hechingen, embedded in the landscape of the Swabian Alb. Golfers here are surrounded by an idyllic setting of gentle hills, wide fields and forests. The historic Hohenzollern Castle, enthroned on a nearby hill, rises above the facility; from the second hole the view extends as far as the lower town of Hechingen.
The course
The 18-hole course is rated at 5,945 metres. The design is by Bernhard Limburger.
The 18 carefully designed holes lead across generous fairways to demanding greens that require precision and skill. Ponds and bunkers in front of the greens punish inaccurate shots, and some holes demand a precise drive between bushes and trees onto a steeply rising fairway.
Facilities and dining
For practice, a driving range, a putting green, practice bunkers and an indoor simulator are available. The clubhouse restaurant serves Mediterranean specialities and is open Tuesday to Sunday; reservations are possible by telephone on 07471 15346.
Guests and green fees
The green fee is €80 on weekdays and €95 on weekends. A handicap limit of 54 applies to guests.
