About the Golf Club
Golfclub Schloß Weitenburg is located in Starzach in the Stuttgart & Baden-Württemberg region (Baden-Württemberg). The facility has 27 holes in parkland style. Golf has been played here since 1984.
Location and Surroundings
The 27-hole golf facility lies in Starzach (Rottenburg – Tübingen), below the Weitenburg directly on the Neckar. The long, well-kept and open fairways are embedded in the unspoilt nature of Baden-Württemberg, and the holes wind along the meandering Neckar, home to increasingly rare bird species such as the black kite and the shy great egret. The club lies directly on the Neckar Valley cycle path, and from the course you get a wonderful view of Schloss Weitenburg.
The Course
Heinz Fehring is responsible for the design.
The 18-hole championship course is designed in the style of a parkland course; as a “course by the river” it is sportingly demanding, because the Neckar has to be crossed no fewer than five times. In addition, there is a public, well-kept 9-hole course, laid out specially for getting started with golf in the Neckar valley.
Facilities and Dining
Practice facilities include a driving range and a pro shop. The restaurant Dimples invites you to round off the day with a changing menu and regional specialities — best on the sun terrace with views of the castle.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is 50 € on weekdays and 65 € on weekends.
