Golfclub Wittgensteiner Land e.V. is located in Bad Berleburg in the Ruhr area & Westphalia region (North Rhine-Westphalia). The facility has 18 holes.

Location and surroundings

The course lies in the Sassenhausen district of Bad Berleburg, between Berleburg Castle and Wittgenstein Castle and above the village on the Sassenhäuser Höhe. The 12-hole golf facility is situated on a sunny mountain plateau at almost 600 metres above sea level, with views of the Eder valley and the Rothaar Mountains and a 50 km wide view into the idyllic Eder valley. The panoramic landscape with far-reaching views of mountains and forests accompanies the round, and the course also offers comfortable motorhome pitches.

The course

The 18-hole course is rated Par 69 and measures 5,100 metres.

The holes are designed with tactical and strategic variety but are still easily playable for beginners. Special features include a Par 3 with an island green, an undulating Par 5 uphill and a 505 m long Par 5 downhill around or over a large pond; watercourses, a frontal stream and biotopes shape the holes, and a signature hole offers a view from an altitude of over 600 m.

Facilities and dining

For practice, a driving range is available. In the clubhouse completed in 2010, the spacious veranda with a wonderful view of the facility invites you to enjoy coffee and chilled drinks, and for celebrations, since 2014 there has been an events room in cabin style with up to 80 seats.

Guests and green fees

The green fee is €50 on weekdays and €50 on weekends. A handicap limit of 54 applies to guests.
