Location and surroundings

The golf course is located in Lohme next to the national park on the island of Rügen. The facility stretches below the castle hotel down to the edge of the striking cliffs on the north coast of Rügen, from where the view extends across the open Baltic Sea to the chalk cliffs with Cape Arkona. Against this backdrop, you play natural golf between the Bodden lagoons and the sea. Coming from Bergen, take the B 96 towards Sassnitz.

The course

The 18-hole course has a par of 71 and measures 5,407 metres.

The 18-hole facility on 65 ha (5407 m, PAR 71) lets its fairways gently follow the contours of the terrain, complemented by cleverly placed bunkers and silky greens. During the planning by a golf course architect, tees and green positions were chosen to make use of the existing terrain; wide, fairly mown fairways, especially in the hollows, ensure that the course challenges ambitious golfers and delights recreational golfers.

Facilities and dining

For practice there is a driving range, a putting green, a chipping green and a pro shop. For private golf events, rooms are available in the castle, on the open-air terrace and in the new, glassed-in event hall OKTAGON, which can cater for up to 70 people.
