Location and surroundings

Schloss Ranzow sits high in the north-east of the island of Rügen, in the small Baltic seaside resort of Lohme, above the Baltic Sea and right next to the Jasmund National Park. The property rises above the old fishing village of Lohme, embedded in the hilly beech forest landscape where the Baltic Sea breaks on the famous chalk coast; the view stretches across the Baltic Sea to Cape Arkona, and the chalk cliffs are only a few minutes away. To get there from Stralsund, take the B 96 towards Sassnitz via Sagard and Bobbin, or alternatively from Bergen through the national park; Sassnitz railway station is around 8 km away, Sassnitz-Mukran ferry port about 15 minutes.

Inside the castle is the Restaurant EARL with regional, Nordic, creative cuisine; the Schlosscafé with its sunny terrace and panoramic Baltic Sea view invites you to breakfast and coffee with a sea view in the conservatory or on the terraces.
