About the Golf Club
Green Eagle Golf Courses is located in Winsen in the Hamburg & North Sea region (Lower Saxony). The facility has 18 holes in heathland.
Location and Surroundings
Green Eagle Golf Courses is located in Winsen (Luhe), on the outskirts of the Hanseatic city of Hamburg, and covers 186 hectares. The terrain is characterised by sandy heath soil; on the West Course, vast heathland, white-shimmering birches and lush green juniper will shape the character of the course. A river with wooden bridges winds its way through the practice greens of the driving range.
The Course
Michael Blesch is responsible for the design.
The three courses – a public 6-hole par 3 course, the 18-hole Süd West Course and the 18-hole Nord Course, which has hosted the European Open on the DP World Tour since 2017 – were built by course designer Michael Blesch himself, together with his long-standing greenkeeping team. The Porsche Nord Course, at 7.161 metres from the Champions Tee, counts among the ten longest courses in the world, is considered the hardest course in Germany according to the course rating of the German Golf Association (CR 78, Slope 150) and is called the "Green Monster"; 17 of its holes are built with water hazards, some of which stretch from the tee all the way to the green.
Facilities and Dining
Practice facilities include a driving range, a putting green and a practice bunker. The BEAVERS restaurant in the clubhouse, with a spacious lake terrace and its own "beach", serves everything from lunch to dinner; at the driving range, the Bretterbude adds to the offering.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is €110 on weekdays and €128 on weekends. Guests can also play here without a course certificate.
