Universitäts-Golfclub Paderborn e.V. is located in Paderborn in the Ruhr Area & Westphalia region (North Rhine-Westphalia). The facility has 18 holes in links style.
Location and surroundings
The golf facility lies in southern Paderborn on the Paderborn plateau, where rolling dune landscape, winds of varying strength, sparse vegetation and stone-shard obstacles shape the terrain. These features, unusual for East Westphalia, give the course its character. Members and guests play on the old 9-hole course as well as on the Haxterhöhe Links course, opened in 2012.
The course
The course was designed by Achim Reinmuth.
The course design of the Haxterhöhe Links course comes from Achim Reinmuth (Städler Golf Courses); the shaping was carried out by Conor J. Walsh. The links course has a rolling, sparse dune character with 121 bunkers; architecture and maintenance meet the criteria of the Golf Environment Organisation.
Facilities and dining
Practice facilities include a driving range, practice bunker and pro shop. At the Haxterpark inn, a converted stable from the 19th century, a sun-kissed terrace with wide views over the golf course is part of the setting.
Guests and green fees
The green fee is 60 € on weekdays and 80 € on weekends.
