About the Golf Club
Aachener Golf-Club 1927 e. V. is located in Aachen in the Rhineland region (North Rhine-Westphalia). The facility has 18 holes. Golf has been played here since 1927.
Location and Surroundings
The golf course is only a few minutes from the centre of Aachen, right in the tri-border area. Set in gentle hilly countryside with mature trees, wide views open up across the Euregio. The facility at Schurzelter Straße 300 in Aachen is part of the varied landscape of the area surrounding Aachen.
The Course
The 18-hole course is rated at par 72. Harry Colt is responsible for the design.
The course, opened in 1928 over 18 holes (par 72), goes back to a design by Harry S. Colt which J.J.F. Pennink later developed into a full 18-hole course. Gently hilly, with mature trees and well-kept water hazards, the long par 4s demand precision from the tee, while the Mackenzie & Ebert office continues the parkland character in the spirit of H.S. Colt.
Facilities and Dining
Practice facilities include a driving range and a pro shop. In the Brasserie 27 chez Marc, the restaurant at the golf course in Aachen, Marc and his team run the club dining, and the terrace inaugurated in 2008 at today’s 18th green opens up views over the course.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is 90 € on weekdays and 110 € at the weekend. Guests are subject to a handicap limit of -32.0.
