About the Golf Club
Golf Club Gastein is located in Bad Gastein. The facility has 18 holes.
Location and Surroundings
The course lies on the valley floor of the Gasteinertal, embedded in the alpine mountain world and at the gateway to the Hohe Tauern National Park. Old trees, many small mountain streams and dense riparian forest characterise the grounds. From the clubhouse the view extends over the second nine towards Bad Gastein, and from every tee there are views in all directions.
The Course
Bernhard von Limburg is responsible for the design.
In 1960 architect Bernhard von Limburg laid out the course as a 9-hole facility; 42 years later came the extension to 18 holes. Generous holes with large, partly more strongly undulating greens characterise the first nine, while the shorter holes 10 to 18, with narrower fairways and smaller greens, demand precise play – a varied alternation between slopes and flat ground, superbly maintained.
Amenities and Dining
Practice facilities include a driving range, an indoor simulator and a pro shop. In the newly designed clubhouse directly at the golf course, the BLÜ am Grün (Golfstüberl) offers a meeting place whose kitchen combines alpine classics with fresh ideas from world cuisine.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is 100 €.
