Golfclub Am Alten Fliess is located in Bergheim in the Rhineland region (North Rhine-Westphalia). The facility has 27 holes. Golf has been played here since 1996.
Location and Surroundings
The golf club is located in Bergheim in the picturesque landscape of the Rhein-Erft district, only about 20 minutes from the Rhine metropolis of Cologne. In rural idyll, the extensive facility stretches across gently rolling terrain, and from the course there is a view as far as Cologne Cathedral. 50,000 square metres of wildflower meadows grow on the grounds, creating a valuable habitat for native wildlife.
The Course
Kurt Rossknecht is responsible for the design.
The demanding layout of the 27-hole facility on 120 hectares was designed by Kurt Rossknecht, who placed particular emphasis on the natural shaping of the terrain; the native planting was designed by landscape architect Pieter Schwarze. A pond in the middle of the course is regarded as a landscape highlight and part of the overall ecological concept.
Facilities and Dining
For practice, there is a driving range and an indoor simulator. In the clubhouse, the Ristorante "Tullio Am Alten Fliess" provides the culinary finish; in season, the halfway house with its lake pavilion and view over the pond also opens.
Guests and Green Fees
The green fee is 105 € on weekdays and 105 € on weekends.
