About the Golf Club
Kölner Golfclub is located in Cologne in the Rhineland region (North Rhine-Westphalia). The facility has 45 holes in parkland style. Golf has been played here since 2012.
Location and surroundings
The Kölner Golfclub lies in the west of the city of Cologne – only 8.000 metres as the crow flies from Cologne Cathedral – and is integrated into Cologne's Outer Green Belt. The facility was opened in 2012; its address is Freimersdorfer Weg 43, 50859 Köln.
The course
Heinz Fehring is responsible for the design.
A gently modelled landscape with chains of hills, large ponds and hundreds of trees and shrubs shapes the facility, for which golf course designer Heinz Fehring took links and parkland courses as his model and which was laid out according to the philosophy of "from easy to challenging". With a total of 45 holes – two 18-hole courses and a 9-hole short course, including a championship course with par 74 – the Kölner Golfclub is the largest golf facility in NRW.
Facilities and dining
For practice there is a driving range, a chipping green and a pro shop. In the clubhouse, guests can look forward to the restaurant "the Green table" with an open show kitchen and a large sun terrace.
