Location and Surroundings
The classic parkland course of Marienburger Golf-Club lies on the edge of Cologne city centre, just under six kilometres south of Cologne Cathedral. The facility is beautifully situated in the Konrad-Adenauer green belt and characterised by mature trees; in places, wide strips of rough adjoin the fairways and run directly into the woodland.
The Course
The 18-hole course has a par of 72.
The 9-hole championship course with a par of 72, which can also be played as an 18-hole combination course, offers a medium to high level of difficulty thanks to its large number of bunkers and hazards as well as demanding par-4 holes; the challenging finishing hole is the signature hole of the course. In addition, there is a par-3 short course designed in the same style, called "Little Augusta", with lengths between 80 and 120 metres.
Facilities and Dining
Catering on the terrace is run by the company Wolfgang Hartmann (Catering & Gusto), which cooks exclusively with fresh and, wherever possible, regional products and offers a seasonally changing menu.
