Golfclub Fränkische Schweiz e.V. is located in Ebermannstadt in the Franconia region (Bavaria). The facility has 18 holes. Golf has been played here since 1974.

Location and surroundings

The golf club is located in Kanndorf near Ebermannstadt, set in the Franconian Switzerland landscape. Woods shape the course: several holes run through narrow forest aisles, on hole 6 a forest edge runs along the entire fairway, and at the green of hole 9 a forest edge and three front bunkers make the approach anything but easy. A biotope on hole 5 is designated as an officially protected landscape area, and the green of the first hole is defended by a pond.

The course

The 18-hole course has a par of 72.

The 18-hole facility with a par and standard of 72, complemented by a public 6-hole short course and a 250 m long, very wide driving range, has gently and continuously developed into one of the most beautiful golf courses in northern Bavaria. Undulating greens, narrow forest aisles and well-defended greens shape the holes; hole 12 is the longest hole on the course and at the same time the most difficult of the entire facility.

Facilities and dining

For practice there is a driving range, putting green and chipping green. The clubhouse doubles as the restaurant with terrace of the Golfpension Messingschlager serving Franconian cuisine; members, green fee players and hikers are all welcome.

Guests and green fees

The green fee is €70 on weekdays and €80 at weekends.
